Premier Tournament

For Players Graded 210 and below – entry fee £21

Prizes £125, £75, £40; Grading Prize (185 and below) £40

Intermediate Tournament

For Players Graded 160 and below – entry fee £19

Prizes £80, £60, £40; Grading Prize (135 and below) £40

Minor Tournament

For Players Graded 110 and below – entry fee £17

Prizes £70, £50, £30

Juniors (born since 31.8.1988) may deduct £3 from entry fees

BCF Direct Members may deduct £2 from entry fees

QE Boys School Pupils may enter for half the adult fee.
There will be a prize for the best performance by a QE School Pupil.

The organisers will have access to the Grading Lists, and reserve the right to assign players to a specific tournament of refuse entry.

There is a late fee of £4 for entries postmarked after Sunday 25 February 2007 and a late fee of £6 for entries received at the Congress
Rate of Play

36 moves in 90 minutes, then 15 minutes to complete the game

Times of Rounds

Saturday 3 March: 9.30am; 1.30pm & 5.30pm
Sunday 4 March: 10am & 2pm

Prizegiving as soon as possible after close of congress, c.6pm Sunday

All sections are Swiss Tournaments and players will be expected to play in all rounds.

A ½ point bye may be requested for one of Rounds 1-4 with your entry.

There will be a Bookstall and Canteen

No Smoking will be allowed in the playing room or canteen.

In the event of a dispute, the decision of the Tournament Controller on all interpretations of the rules is final.

The Congress is run by Barnet Elizabethans Chess Club, which meets on a Monday at Barnet Conservative Club, 33 High Street, Barnet, from 7.30pm.
