Players had a total of just forty minutes for the whole game, which led to some spectacular time-scrambles.

Once the smoke had cleared the worthy winner was Miroslav Houska, who plays for Slough Chess Club in the National League and who is just one step away from completing the necessary requirements for his International Master title. He also won a 40 meal voucher and a unique, hand-carved wooden trophy, courtesy of Salvatore's business partner Panos Michael!
